He turned 70 years old October 8 last year.
Comic book writer Harvey Pekar has gone away.
Pekar is best known for the comic "American Splendor" which became a movie 2003rd
It was Harvey Pekar 's wife found her husband dead in their home in Ohio on Monday and called the police. The cause of death is still unknown, writes the news agency AP.


Pekar suffered from several ailments, including cancer, asthma and high blood pressure.

Writer Harvey Pekar's most famous creation is the comic "American Splendor" which came out first time in 1976. "American Splendor" in 2003 became a movie star Paul Giamatti in the lead role.
