The grand opening ceremony of Beijing Olympic 2008 By Absar Akbar China's dream of one hundred years came true through the grand opening ceremony of Beijing Olympic games. That was held on the national stadium named "The nest" in Beijing. All the busy streets in China were quiet during that ceremony cause people were fixed with that amusing ceremony all over the country. All the big screens around the central cities in China were off during that ceremony for the safety and security purpose. "8" is the lucky number in China. That's why the opening ceremony began at 8:08 p.m. It began with the Olympic symbol made of magnificent lights flying over the national stadium. Then, the children of 56 minorities of China carried the national flag through the field while a cute little girl was singing the happy song of China. Right after then, all the Chinese people stood up with their national anthem and it ended with fireworks all around the stadium. Afterwards, the background speaker announced the beautiful Olympic by describing the invention of the paper and Chinese paintings. Some excellent artists drew pictures with their body wonderfully after that with the music of xylophone. Then, the great picture flew over the stadium. Next, 3000 thousand fellowships of Confucious came out to the field to give the audience superficial idea of the history of Chinese character and people with blocks made 和 (He) that means harmony to reveal the united harmony of this world and they made up the Great wall with the blocks immediately after that. Then, the people with traditional dress came up with the puppet show of the historical Beijing soap opera. After then, a lot of rowers revealed the silk road of friendship and trading with the west by exporting tea with a beautiful girl on the ship. Next, the combined music of Tang, Song, Ming, Qing, Yuan dynasty played by lute. The fireworks was blown up again to keep the audience attention. Right after the third around fireworks, a popular pianist played piano and people with the light suit made stars and then, a dove and a nest. Suddenly, A little girl flew out of the nest with a kite. After that, people with the traditional Tai ji dress came along with school kids.
The kids painted out the picture of spring in China while people were showing traditional Tai ji. Then, the wonderful animated flamingos for peace and freedom all around the stadium amused all the audiences fantastically. Two astronauts flew over the stadium and a globe showed up after that to tell the world the dream of China is to fly to the moon. Then, two popular singers sang "You and me, heart to heart to create a big family", song. The smiley pictures of the children from all over the world took place right after that to show that the smile is the best tool of communication. Afterwards, the pretty fireworks came out again through the net of the nest (national stadium). Finally, the combined dance of 56 minorities welcomed the athletes from all around the world. The Greece athletes began the rally and the Chinese athletes finished. All the respective countries' presidents waved their hands to their athletes and audiences screamed to show off the passions towards their motherland.The fireworks again came out through the net of the nest to enlighten the spirit of Olympics. The mayor of Beijing Liu Qi and IOC president Jacques Rogge walked over the red carpet to the stage to give nationwide speech. The mayor welcomed people to the Beijing Olympic and the I.O.C president congratulated Beijing to have dream their come true and encouraged the victims of the earthquake in China. President HU declared the opening of 29th Olympic officially right after the speech. The fireworks with blown up all around the stadium again with his official announcement. |
