After two stillborn babies did the elephant Panang everything to keep their kids  She wanted the best for their children - just like any mother at any time. That is why the elephant had Panang every day a strict "gymnastics mom" as she stretched out their muscles for childbirth.

The result: Little Jamuna Toni.
The 20-year-old prospective mother was pregnant - for the third time.
But the last two births were both left in the tragedy, after the elephant was dead pups at birth.

Mom gymnastics
Giving birth to stillborn babies is not uncommon for elephants, but the Panang really wanted to keep her baby this time. Therefore, she obediently followed his coach, Andi Fries, accurately preparing the program.
Together, the two trained, daily for several months, to Panang body would be as prepared as possible.
They stretched. Did exercises to the kid in the stomach would not grow too large. And worked to build and strengthen the muscles in Panang rear end, to facilitate the birth.

Pregnant in two years
After 656 days of pregnancy, it was finally time. At half past two in the morning, 21 December, gave birth Panang a little girl elephant who was named Jamuna Toni.
"Birth was straightforward," said the zoo afterwards with joy when the baby was the first healthy young elephant born at the zoo Tierpark Hellabrunn Zoo in Munich for over 60 years.

The name, Jamuna Toni, got the kid after his Indian origin. Jamuna is a sacred river, and also the name of a god of Brahmaputra arms. Other name Toni stood for happiness.
Elephant kid showed up recently for a single media posse. Girl seemed both healthy - and mischievous - as she sniffed curiously at both photographers and their cameras.
And finally - as it should when a new creature seen the light - to be certain of details:
The baby girl was 88 centimeters tall and weighed 112 kilograms.
